Thunderbird mystery

Today on opening Thunderbird the bottom section of screen has html coding? in red letters taking up large section of email space

---^ label class="header Name" value =&header.title;

and right hand slider missing little difficult to explain - can anyone help please?

thanks LostSheep I went to your suggested forum. I didn't, as yet receive a direct reply but looking through previous questions, I found something similar and have deleted and replaced Thunderbird and all is now well
