I have recently got a USB flash memory key with my new computer, and I want to protect the information on it (with a password or something). Is there any free software or anything that can do this?

Most OS support the encryption of files now. This would enable you protect your files while they are on your flash stick. If you are using Windows 2000 or above have a look at this article at MS http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;
