Sky Broadband and free McAfee software

I got Sky Broadband a few months ago and it came with a free years McAfee. However after a while McAfee wasnt working properly so i uninstalled it. However , now i keep getting a Virus scan pop up window asking me to Verify my subscription but when i press the verify button it says i havent got any mcAfee software then another pop up appears saying "Some components of Activeshield are either missing or might not have been installed properly". Im sick to death of those pop ups every 45 seconds or so....I have tried to reinstall the Sky CD with McAfee but it doesnt work. Please help

I would try and contact McAfee by e mail or phone and explain and they might help you to download it again. Failing that you might just have to buy it, or some other one like Norton as if you haven't got any protection you could run into difficulties.

How did you uninstall it? You should do it from Control Panel>Add Remove Programmes
Select the Macafee uninstaller, click on remove, then chose to remove the entire suite, that "should" do it.

Done that. Also went into my c drive and then into Program files. Theres one called "McAfee" but it wont let me delete it
