Which tarriff?

About to buy a new phone - probably a Motorola - pay as you go - different networks give different free air time when purchasing the phone - but they all charge different for calls and texts etc - so which is the cheapest tarriff on which network, O2, Orange, T mobile etc?

I expect to make only a few calls per day to landlines and mobiles, and just five or six texts per day. It's very confusing.
