Sky remote

This is a shot in the dark.At the moment we are unable to adjust the volume on our television using the remote.Everything else is ok - just the sound.
Does anybody think it sounds serious - or expensive ?

Can it be something to do with the pots?

Ah - there you have me.Me being a simple woman does not know what you mean by "pots" - well not those sorts anyway !!!!

we have never been able to adjust the tv volume from our sky remote, we have to use the tv control. I think it just depends on the make of tv to whether the sky remote is compatible

If you look in your SKY digibox manual it tells you how to set the remote to alter the audio volume, basically it tells you to input a code and for SONY tv's it is 0000 which sets up the remote.

We had a very similar problem with ours just last week but with ours it was only the volume we could adjust with the sky remote and nothing else, no channel changes, wouldn't even go into standby. We put fresh batteries in and still nothing.

I suspected a fault within the handset so bought a new sky remote from Tesco (�14.99) which came with batteries.

I put the batteries in, aimed it at the sky box, and bingo! everything worked. Just to make sure I tried our old one again and still nothing apart from the volume control, so maybe your handset has gone too.
