Not quite sure what you are trying to do here misto. When you copy files to CD, they automatically become read-only, even if the media is re-writeable. When they are subsequently copied back to the hard-drive, they will become writeable again. You cannot edit the file on the CD,
You can use a re-writeable CD like a 'giant floppy' with suitable packet-writing software. You simply use the software to format the CD-RW and then you can edit files on the CD in exactly the same way that you can on a floppy. If your drive came with Nero software, the relevant program is called InCD.
However, you need to be aware that packet-writing software is often criticized for being unreliable or, in some cases, causing system conflicts which result in the 'blue screen of death'.
