start up

when switching on the computer it randomly displays three sizes of start up small ,medium and large, is there any way i can set it so it only comes small as my graphics only works on small ( ati warning that the graphics card driver is not installed) comes up on the screen

I would be tempted to fix the root cause of this problem. Perhaps the drivers for the card are corrupt. Without knowing more about your system (e.g. operating system), it is a tad difficult, but, assuming it is Windows XP, if you look in Device Manager (right-click My Computer on the Desktop, and select Properties, then the Hardware tab). Under Display Adapters there should be a mention of your graphics card. If there is something listed with a large yellow exclamation mark, that indicates there is a problem with that bit of hardware and it may be an idea to re-install the drivers.

You would need your ATI CD to install the drivers, or even better, download them from the ATI website.

i am operating on vista ,this seems to be the last problem to overcome of many since changing to vista.

OK, well I cannot really help as I have no intention of moving to Vista for a year or two, when the bugs have been ironed out.

However, I imagine there is still a device manager which will indicate the status of your display adapter, and I guess you need the appropriate Vista driver for your card, ATI may offer a generic one.
