I am a pensioner and have bought an MP3. I am pretty good with computers, but can't get it to work at all!! It said in the very basic instns with the unit to put in the AAA battery, plug one end of the lead into the USB on the PC and the other into the MP3. I did this and on the PC monitor I get Windows Media Player which is V10 as it says in the instns. On the MP3 screen are a couple of icons joined by arrows. Nothing else happens. What do I do now - in simple terms please, how do I download anthing to the MP3? I am completely lost!!! Thanks Moggie
Ok - you haven't done anything wrong, so don't panic.
Are the arrows on the mp3 screen moving? If so, it is 'synching' with Windows Media Player and you should do nothing until it stops. This means it is downloading the music.
If the arrows are still moving, click the synch tab in Media Player.
With the MP3 player plugged in, have a look in Start -> My Computer to see if there are any additional drives. If there is, you should be able to open it, then open your My Music folder and drag your MP3 files from one window to the other...
Thanks to Mattfox and Ethel. Now seems to be working OK as it was not Synchronised originally! Have got some music on it from 'library' but that was the test music already on my PC when I bought it.
How do I get files onto the Windows Media Player page so I can download them to the MP3? eg say I want to download an episode of something from BBC listen again .
