why on earth do people in cars, houses, etc. think that every body else would want to listern to their music. i like music as much as the next person, but i keep it at a reasonable volume.

I do think some music does need to be played loud for full effect, I have a few tracks that I rarely play as they really need full volume and I don't want to upset the neighbours.

I have hearing problems caused by too long in ships engine rooms. The people (mostly young) will soon have the same problem through loud music. If they like it loud they should use a head set and not bother others, but they are somewhat thoughtless like smokers.
That's the next thing the nanny state will ban.
There again they could make it legal to shoot the noisy ba$$tards.
