dvd recorder converting to region 1

does anyone know if it is possible to change a bush 3006 dvr dvd recorder to a region 1 player?

i can't say off hand but looking on a site... doom9.net.....
under basics( tab) you can change regions of dvd's, i suspect its for pc's but give it a go. Loads of clever people out on that website will help.
