You can get to your favorites by going into your "My Computer" folder then clicking on your "Local Disk" icon.

Your favorites are held in a folder with the following path name:

"Documents and Settings" then "userid" (which is your userid) then "Favorites".

The "Favorites" icon is a five pointed star.

Hold your mouse over the star, and hold down the RIGHT mouse button, and drag it to your dekstop.

Let go of the mouse and a small menu should appear. Select "Create shortcut here"

A star should appear on your dekstop with the title "Shortcut to Favorites".

Double click on the star and you can get to your favorites.
Or you could right-click on the Favourites folder and select Create Shortcut. One will appear on your desktop.
Woops. Misread VHG's post. Sorry.
