Email problem.

I have recently switched from Outlook Express 6 to Thunderbird. I kept my accounts on both in case of problems. I have noticed when I "get mail" in Thunderbird it only retieves some of the mail that was in Outlook Express and leaves the rest. Why? I have sent emails to my account in OE and then retrieved them in Thunderbird no problem.I have disabled the junk filters so its not that. Help plz ABers.
