My wife and I drive a five year old 'Seat Leon'. However, being O.A.Ps we feel it would be appropriate for us to change to a smaller car.
It is the case, that we would wish to have a smaller vehicle with all the attributes of the 'Leon'. i.e., 0-62mph in 10.9secs ( 11.3 What Car Mag.) Disc brakes all-round, Body side rubbing strips, Galvanised body, Air conditioning , etc. etc.
Can't beat a Fiat Panda 1.2 Eleganza.Climate Control,ABS,Leccy windows/mirrors.Don't say no just because it's a Fiat, test drive one you'll be pleasently surprised.Really comfortable,50 mpg,low tax and insurance,It's also won numerous awards including Car of the Year.
When and where was ' Fiat Panda' awarded Car of the year. ? I'm not knocking the breed; my wife's best friend has got a Panda and thinks it's great. Perhaps a'Grande Punto' might be my answer.
Iv'e a problem......I think 'Hondas are expensive when compared to other makes.
Hi there NORMANTHEDOG it's nice to meet up again. What would you buy in my position?.....Seat Ibiza; Suzuki Swift; Skoda Fabia; Seat Grande Punto; Renault Clio are a few that I've thought about.
I agree with country_boy. Had a Honda Civic for several years. The most reliable car I have owned during 40+ years driving. Very low depreciation as well. Still drive a Honda, wouldn't change now.
They probably are a bit more expensive compared to other makes but, you get what you pay for.
G'evening dilligaff.....I don't doubt that Honda Civics are excellent cars. However, I am put off by what I've read in 'What Car' magazine........." Poor visibility; No rear wiper or Spare wheel."
Is this true? I thought a spare wheel was mandatory and that all hatchbacks had rear wipers.................Ron.
