In my Temporary files I have 19 'hidden' files...(not by me I might add)..who hid them, what are they doing hiding there and more importantly when I get rid of all the other stuff should I follow the instructions and delete them too? Thanks again for all your advice, it is so valuable to people like me Trudi :o)

Aaaaahhhh the windows hidden files mystery....to find the true answer you seek you must travel many many miles and speak to the wise old man who knows all things and lived on top of a snowy mountain near...........sorry the pills just wore off for a while.

AWindows automatically hides some files and folders which are mostly system and settings to stop novice users accidentally mucking about with their system......The files your refering to are most likely bits left over from programs installing themselves onto your PC....anything in your temporary folder that hasn't been accessed for a week or so is usually safe to delete BUT as always when making changes like this your best and safest bet is to do a back up or create a restore point on XP so you have a safety net should things go belly up.
