Enter the following in the address bar:

192.168.1.1 or

192.168.1.0

Press enter and open the admin pages to your router. Somewhere in there will be the channel - change it to 7 or 11.
Morning Ethel oh great fountain of all knowledge.

What is wrong with my PC, silly question I know, it is under computers. If you don't know then I really am lost.

So it asks for a password? Are you logged on to your own network?
Left or right hand thread.

Did you type it in the address bar, not the search engine box?
Question Author
yes that is the one at the top is that the 1 you mean
That's an mns search engine.

Clear everything and just type the actual code - no http in front or anything
Question Author
no still nothing can you send me a link to what you mean
Try this:

Start - run

In the box type cmd , press enter

At the flashing cursor type

ipconfig /all

You should see your routers IP address. It will be in the form of 192.168.1.1 - something very like that

Type the IP address in the address bar and press enter.
Try

192.168.0.1

The Router username is always admin

The default password is password or (for older routers) 1234

Channel is under wireless settings.
first .... back to basics
look on the back of the router .... what model is it?

either tell us ... or look here
http://www.dlink.co.uk/?go=jN7uAYLx/oIJaWVdDLg YU93ygJVYLelXSNvhLPG3yVjoUYppxu5vbMYkOfsxsXg6V HqqnHtD85pJVJ23gKHtOQ5A8ruEbIq3DNC89DUInMpMFP4 =

alternatively look in the bottom of your undie drawer for the book that came with the router.

remember the fix only works 'till someone else moves in who is also using that chanel

even better .... ditch the wireless ... use cat5 wire ... 100% interference free

or get a homeplug kit

either will end your problems for ever
