annoying icons on my tv screen

I've done something wrong and I'm stuck with a green sign saying 'dvd 1' in the top left of my tv screen, anyone have any ideas of how to remove it please.. tried everything.

See where the dvd button is on your remote and press that, sometimes repeatedly. If that doesnt work let us know the make and model of your tv.

shylock73, quite often when people ask questions on here,I or Ethel or someone else will locate an online copy of the user manual, download it, read it, and post a reply. Why we do this, when the person posting the question could look it up in the manual that came with the equipment, I don't know - maybe we are suckers.

In this particular case, nobody could post a definitive reply, because the questioner was not only too lazy to do it themselves, but was also too lazy to tell us the make and model, so that we could do it for them.

Therfore I (somewhat rudely) suggested that they should RTFM - Read The F*****g Manual.
