I'll keep it brief.Got virus on computer.Norton couldn't repair it.I quarrantined and deleted it.Computer running like a dream but cant shift the red white and blue "virus alert" box off the desktop.Any ideas? By the way got rid of "about;blank" today.Piece of cake.Thanks for the help a few weeks ago!!!

I used to run Norton Anti Virus software and found it couldn't find a virus if it came up to it and introduced itself. I used to get virused nearly everyday and Norton was useless. So I got a free version of AVG from the net and got rid of Norton.
Oh, another thing you could do is get a free version of a Firewall so it stops viruses from getting on to your pc.
you need to cleanse your pc of a nasty browser hijacker. simply run adaware www.lavasoft.de and clean your PC.
