Toshiba Laptop

Just bought a Toshiba laptop (first laptop ever) but how do I connect to the Internet. I have wi fi router and can see it on that radar thing but now what? I have tried clilcking on it and nothing happens. Should I be able to just click on it? Is there any other thing I can do.

hi lukey, if you look at the bottom of your screen there should be an icon displayed that relates to local and internet access. Mine is two little monitors but yours may be different. If you right click this a window bobs up and one of the options is 'connect to a network' if you click this option it should bring up all available wireless networks, just find yours and click on it. This should get you online :)
