I have been looking at Google Earth and the Channel Islands and no road names are displayed but they are displayed in UK and everywhere else. How can I rectify this as I intend to go to Jersey this year? TIA

because of the ten year rule ..... everybody who lives there has ample time to get the two main roads and the few others fixed in their heads .......
also ... because of the isolation from the mainland by now most of the locals are related .... some are even their own uncles !!!
street names have been replaced by a system known as familial reference.....
so directions go something like .... (with a faint franglish accent)
up to our nellies ... turn left at uncle joe's - carry on till you see our geoff .... and then turn down towards jack's auntie may's house.
(its the same system they use in parts of ireland and cornwall)
It's such a small island that you can be anywhere in 30 minutes .... even if you set off in the wrong direction.
