hopefully come the end of july this year i'll be 18, and i shall be able to have a debit card and use ebay legally, (parents permitting) and of course have a drink. I intend to buy things and sell junk i dont need, lol.

Is there any ebayers on here, as i need some advice.

What is paypal and how does it work? Can you use a debit card with ebay?

I was thinking the same Legend. My daughter who is nearly 15 has a job which pays her by cheque so she opened a current account. She can use the card to withdraw money but was told that she can't use it for purchases until she is 16.

This guy sounds a bit simple if you ask me.

As long as you have a valid debit card and money in the account you can use it on ebay. If you purchase an item the money will be deducted straight from your account just the same as if you bought from a shop. If you sell an item on ebay then paypal will deduct a fee and the money will stay in your paypal account which you can transfer to your bank account if you wish.
