What do users think of Virgin's changes to Virgin Mobile and Virgin Media, i.e. non-paper bills and increased call charges?

I like not having a paper bill and as I don't have a land line the call charges don't effect me.
I have to say, we are seriously thinking on changing fom Virgin. Prices just seem to keep going up and up.
Thing is, no idea which company to change to.
If you have cable phone you will firstly need to activate your BT phone line before you can move to anybody.

BT will contract you for 12 months or charge a hefty penalty if you then go elsewhere.

But if you have Virgin cable broadband - you don't need a phoneline. I don't have one. I use Skype and save on the cost of the line rental and so on.
Thanks for that Ethel. WE do have Virgin cable broadband. Worth looking into.

If you have a Virgin mobile phone, obviously I don't know what tariff you are on, but if you have free minutes, have you seen how much calls have increased if you go over your monthly allowance?
I don't have a Virgin mobile phone
I am with Virgin and got my statement yesterday and it said calls going up to 4p per minute. I never asked many questions to do with phone calls when I agreed to sign up to broadband but do you know if there is a connection charge on your home phone before it is 4p per minute? I guess that 4p a minute applies to local calls only and not all calls to the UK. You see I never asked that also. I was just concerned with broadband costs.
7p connection charge!

Which is precisely why I don't have a landline.
