no MOT stopped by police, & probihited to DRVE for no MOT ?

since MOT apparently are now , on the police data base (as motor insurance is on a database , accessible by the constabularies up and down the land ) .... has anynoe here been stopped by police driving a car without MOT , and been told by the police , "you can not drive this vehicle again " - until it the car is MOT , ..... meaning youn had to get the vehcilce towed away .... ---- anyone had this happen to them ?

did you mean chav ??? , - these days im very strict , about my vehicle having mot , with the information, held , by the constabulary sector up and down the land.........- but in years gone by , i had been stopped , in a vehicle eith out MOT ........ but it wasnt processed for court summons ,... i just recieved a "letter of caution " .... as did my neighbour , in his car once - ten years ago .....and so did my neighbours cousins godfather in 1999 ............

you can drive it to and from a pre booked MOT so if they stop you, you'll get nicked but then you can phone a garage and book an MOT and then drive it to the garage so no need for a tow truck.

My car's booked for an MOT on Friday. Due to having a new baby and some other distracting events this year, I only noticed yesterday the last one expired in January (!) and no-ones pulled me over. Yet.

thanks r1 geezer ..... there are 24 hr garages,,,, but theses r not a common,,,,, thing , outside normal office hours ,,,, it would be diffucult , to book an " mot 2 , on the spot ...... and still i havent really been advised by anyone , whether ........"the police " can put a "prohibtion notice 2 , on a vehcile being drive on public raod with out mot ....... ------ any replies here ?

yes all these ...... driving without mot incidents , i detailed were occured over 8 years ago ..... redcrx .......... ( incidently in 1999 , i was breathalised in london , by a policeman , who lived two minutes walk away from me .....!!! ---- take into account that i lived 15 miles away from lodon where this "near neighbour police officer routinely stopped me " ...small world ..... smelly breath !! , not me on that night i got breathalised in 1999 ...... in london .... regards redcrx - if u read this ....
