English digital tv to Spainish

If I buy an LCD digital tv in England will it work properly in Spain, as I know with analogue, one couldn't hear it unless passed through an English video. Is this all resolved now with digital. I ask because they are so very much cheaper in England. Thank you.

I think so, they would appear to use the same format and the same MPEG2 compression

Does your tv set up include spanish as an option. If it does, then it's probably a certainty.
