sd vs sdhc
4 Answers
Im looking for a bigger SD card for my mp3 player, but all the cards bigger than 4gb are 'SDHC', and according to the argos catalogue limited cameras and camcorders have the capability of recognising them. I would prefer a 4gb and not to carry around more 2gb cards. I phoned bang & olufsen of york, and explained and he said he cant see why it wont be compatible with the 4gb card, but im confused, risking 45 for a card that might not even work and that cant be returned. What else can i do?

4GB, less than a tenner.
So, you can't do much except buy one and try it. Worst case and it doesn't work: you still have the card for use in your camera or something.
SDHC is by definition the ones with 4GB or so and above.
It'll just depend on the chipset used in the player to see if it'll work with > 1GB cards.
