I wish- I bought a pack of DVD Rs not knowing, and kept them as I can still play them on my TV. But now I need to copy one the drive says RW on one side, but R/RW under the name. Either way it has (and probably will) never play DVD-Rs unless I can fix it. I only operate the darn thing!
I have recorded a video on a DVD-R and it says it's an 'unsupported format' when I try and open it. If you explore the drive it even says it's empty. It isn't the camera as I've made lots of DVD-RW videos and played them on it. I also need to copy the DVD and can't unless it recognises it, and would also want to play the copies back before sending them off to make sure they work. Not a chance.
I have just emailed them but that doesn't always provide a solution as I've discovered in the past when programs don't work properly.
