Until recently I have had no bother downloading photos from an Ixus 70 to my PC. Lately I am unable to establish a connection between camera and PC. I get a message saying that the computer does not recognise the camera. I have reloaded the software but to no avail. Can anyone help, please?
My hard drive is a HP Pavilion. Is there an adaptor available which will allow me to connect the camera memory card to the hard drive?

Assuming that you are using an SD card, go to a local pound shop and get one of their SD card readers (or go to a high street retailer and pay up to a tenner?).

If you have invested in the newer SDHC cards (4GB and above) then you should look for a Kensington Mobilite reader (see below) or an Integral one (sometimes comes in a pack with a new card).

Kingston Mobilite, only 4.95 (or Google for other suppliers):-
