On my home pc, windows updates install automatically. Since the latest one, which includes the free Windows Defender, I can rarely access the internet. I already have anti spyware, etc. on the machine and know that too many of these can cause problems. I don't seem able to remove the Windows Defender though. Can anyone help me? When I go to Add/Remove programmes, it's not in the list. When I do find it elsewhere, I can't highlight the "remove" button. Several other programmes are also blocked on startup.
