Windows Mail (which was Outlook in the good old days).. when I open it my new emails download automatically.

it was fine this morning, but when I opened it this evening there's a "windows security" window opened which asks for "username" and "password". it's never done this before, and I really can't remember what it wants! I assume my username is my email addy, or just the first part (before the @) but nothing has worked so far. I've re-booted a few times, and I can still get my mails on the web.. but I like my Windows Mail.

any ideas, please?

can't see you in the crowd anymore
I think it's you but I can't be sure

*I'll just wait for someone with some.knowledge*
Oddly enough, I don't think you are going to find anyone with the required knowledge, which is, of course...

your user name and password.
Having said that - you presumably need your user name and password to log in to your web mail!

my username and password is still accepted on the site so I can access my email on the web, it just won't work on Windows Mail.

I'm not stupid, oddly enough!

but thanks for your words of wisdom :o)
