Atikmdag - driver not responding
4 Answers
Is anyone else having problems with the above message coming up each day regarding their display driver. Have tried downloading new driver but still persists. Understand this is somewhat of a problem with the new Windows Vista. Anyone got some solutions to fix it. Thanks.

but I decided I was out of my depth. The first page makes reference to using 'ATI Tool' (whatever that is) which seems to help some people. There may well be further suggestions on the other 42 pages but you'll have to read them for yourself!

ati tool
funny how "ati" and "tool" always seem to go together ....
(looking at Buenchico's link it - it won't hurt to give it a go - just don't be rempted to turn anything else up!!!)
generally (and this is very general) if this sort of thing is a duff driver .... or a new game... best you can do is wait for a fix .... generally happens quite quickly.
with vista ... you can (and should be ) use directX10 - and again ....updates are constant .....
I did get similar with my Nvidia card in vista .... never did get to the bottom
except I went back to XP .... not a cough since!
