I want to uninstall windows live messenger from my computer but I cannot find it in list of programmes would it be listed as something else?

it's listed in mine as "windows live messenger"

though if its the earlier version (msn messenger) you want to remove then you have to click on "add or remove windows components" at the left on the add remove programs window and remove that from there

Thanks ChuckFickens, could it be windows live essentials. I have uninstalled the earlier version now, like you said. The reason I want to do this is I can no longer use my webcam since updating to the new version so I thought if I uninstalled and started again it might resolve the problem.

I would have started with uninstalling the webcam software and reinstalling the latest version of that first.

also tell your friend to upgrade their version of messenger too match yours.

It is my Granddaughter, and she already has the new version. It was her that talked me into changing!
