What is this Beeping Noise

My pc keeps making a constant beeping noise which gets really annoying, It happens from the moment i turn it on to the moment i turn it off. Does anyone know how i can stop this from happening. I'm getting a new one around february but can anyone suggest anything till then?

(Turning the speakers on to listen to music is a nightmare, the beeping noise bellows out 10 times louder)

It sounds as if this is an alarm from the motherboard, is there a patern to the beeps? There was a site somewhere (can't remember where) that told you how to interpret these beeps.

Here is one site http://www.sysopt.com/biosbmc.html it seems to depend on what BIOS you have. There seem to be lots of sites out there, I just put motherboard and beeps into Google

A continous beeping may indicate that the processor cooling fan has failed.
