blocking emails

does anyone know how to block a certain persons incoming emails, im with google? the reason im asking is because im getting abusive emails from my ex husbands new girlfriend, dont know why she has a problem with me, weve been divorced 5 years and not spoken in 3 lol. Ive reported it as spam, would this work?

All you can do is setup a filter to move it straight into the trash folder
goto your inbox, if you look at the top next to the search box there is a little link that says create filter, click on that. on the next page put the email address you want to filter into the "from box" leave the rest blank and click next step, then on the next page put a tick in delete it and click next again.
Now any mails from that sender will be automatically deleted.

you can create a filter that automatically redirects messages from that address to the trash folder or the spam folder. at the top of the In box page, next to the "Search the Web" button, is a small link called "Create a filter"... click that. enter whatever details you'd like, most likely the "From:" email address, then click "Next Step"
then you can decide what you want to do with the message, probably move it to the trash. finally, "Create Filter" and you're done.
