What do you mean by messages? If you mean email messages, then you will have to set your default browser to something other than Chrome. You must have at least one browser installed
Why do you want to get rid of Chrome? - it's the best!!!

Hi,

I do mean hyper links in emails and other stuff too. I want to uninstall Chrome because there is no autofill or page print or copy. Stuff like that. I suppose I miss the familiarity of Internet Explorer.

In other words I just want to go back one step until I am ready for Chrome.

Can you help me to do that?
Uninstall Chrome - IE will then become your default browser, hyperlinks will automatically execute in IE.

That's all there is to it

That's exactly what I tried and then found my hyperlinks did not work at all. I have tried just uninstalling twice now and have had to re install Chrome just to get my links to work.

I'm afraid it has put me off Chrome for the time being until it has all the bells and whistles I am used to. You will have gathered I am not too adept with computers. I just like plain and simple things.
Perhaps you need to reset IE as your default browser:
from the start menu go to control panel, then choose Add or remove programs then bottom left Set program access and defaults, then select custom and the double arrow head pointing down on the right and from there setup all your defaults etc.
Use "Revo Uninstaller" to totally get rid it. Revo cab able to remove all entry even from registry. Try it.
