Whenever I get an incoming call (despite me not hearing the phone ring) it always seems so accept the call..any ideas how i turn option off

may be your ringing volume should be off. so check the ringing volume .
go to the settings of the phone check the tone settings , select the ringing volume .
ringing volume should on.
check the profile . silent profile is not selected so you can not listen any ring from the mobile.
select another profile as general.
