What is the best software I can use to copy a data dvd? Nero keeps stopping halfway through with an error and I would like to try something equivalent and easy to copy my PC's System Restore DVD which is starting to get a bit tatty and scratched. Thank u

Had the dreaded blue screen which I cudnt get round. Used my Master Recover Disc which has mostly worked but Windows Burnin not loading up and preventing a full restore. The restore DVD won't work in other disc drive (doesnt like sum dvds) n wud like to c if a fresh new recovery disc may help a full restore. Want to try and do as much as I can before reverting to paying someone to sort it. Thks.
Are you trying to do a data disc in nero express, if so this isn`t necessary, just click on copy dvd in nero smart start.
Just seen your reply above, someone came to door whilst I was in middle of typing.
Can`t see it working, if your original disc is damaged, I assume it will copy damaged.
Would be interested to know if it does work.

Late callers, don't you love them!!! Nero didn't work first time round, but will try again in the morning. Relying on an old laptop to copy the data to another disc. Just wanted to c if something other than Nero was out there and to copy this recovery DVD as it's my last chance of sitting my of without getting new XP Home disc etc. Just glad I regularly backed up my hard drive. Thks for help so far.

That was meant to say 'last chance of setting up my pc'. Typing on my iPhone, for Internet access, and didn't check wot I was typing!
you could try copying to your hard drive first.and then copying to a DVD
start by copying all the files to a folder ... that will at least prove the data is readable

if it is - don't delete it ... just let us know
(pointless going into the complex stuff if the data isn't there

first of all copy all the data from the dvd to the hard disk .

after that open the nero and select the type of the dvd burn data.

select the data from the hard disk and try to burn the data in to the dvd.

make sure you choose the dvd burn option.

select the verify data after burn the dvd.

if nero is not working you can download another dvd burn software .

this is the link where you can download the dvd burn software
