Some dongles operate on a monthly contract with a defined download limit in Gb. If this limit is exceeded you pay a hefty premium per Mb. This can make it difficult in assessing how much to use in a given period.

Does that make it more practical to use the dongle PAYE as you only pay for what you actually use rather than guesswork and obviously the premium will not be necessary?

I think the pay as you go dongle sounds expensive and inconvenient, i have an orange mobile dongle and pay �15pm by direct debit and i can use it 24/7 if i choose, but the pay as you go one would be about �30 a think with limited download.

Obviously PAYG not PAYE.

That tracker is a good idea but some users would be far below their accredited limit while others would be near to the limit each month. Would they both be better off?

Those PAYG dongles are fabby if it is to be a secondary internet connection and you don't intend using it all the time.

From �2 for one day's use. Most are �15 for one month with a 3gb limit, or �25 for 7gb limit.
