This has been asking for access to the internet (was picked up by my firewall). Any idea what it is? Do I need to be worried, or is it some update of something I actually need?

Many thanks!

This looks like a trojan! Run antivirus software in SafeMode to kill it off. Check out http://computercops.biz/startuplist-5989.html .

It could also be Microsoft Scheduler. If you've got  Zone Alarm, it'll say that XXX is trying to access the internet, even if it is only looking locally using TCP/IP. If the address it is trying to access is 127.0.0.1 (or something VERY like it), it might be safe enough to allow it. If it is some other address, Potatomans advice is the best.
