Digital photos on PC to ipod

I have digital photos on my PC which I want to be able to view on my ipod. I went to each photo and sent them to the ipod device. Nothing happened. I thought it would be simple. Any clues where I went wrong? TIA

Open ITunes.

Go to File, add folder to playlist, then select the folder your pics are in. They should import automatically.
