HELP our phone has packed in BT wanna charge the earth to fix we have two loose wires in the phone socket the colours are orange and white and blue and white we have connection points numbered 1 to 6 where do we put the wires?? and what is the name of the tool we require to fit the wires?? i think this might of been the cause of all my modem problems,

If I remember right it is 2 and 5 and you will not need a croning tool as in fibonacci's link you should be able to push the wires into place with a stanley knife blade and there is no need to strip the wires they just push into the two like prongs on each connection
if you're not using the tool you do need to strip the wires
the correct tool makes sure the connection is good ... a stanley won't = and bear in mind when you ruin it - b&q sell replacements (they also sell a disposable inserter)

blue white - 2
white blue - 5
orange white - 3
Hi, I presume this is an extension phone faulty?The connection points to use are 2 3 5.Same colours in main and extension block
