If a few pictures of you and your ex were put on facebook, not anything bad just you together years ago, would you get annoyed? I put some up of my mate and my sis (not redcrx) with loads of other oldschool ones and I have just had a message asking me to delete them. Doesn't bother me and if they want them deleted I will. He has said that it's his past and he doesn't want it bringing up. I guess because I wouldn't be bothered and my past made me who I am that I didn't even think. It's not even as if you can see they are a couple in the photos.

Maybe his past wasn't as happy as yours and he just wants to blot it all out. Some people do.

i dont see why its a problem unless he hates the pics. He can unlink himself from them if he wants to

I did exactly the same with exactly the same reaction, In fact I no longer speak to the person involved because of it!!! She was an old mate who, in her younger days, was not as svelt as she is today, therefore went mad at the thought that people actually knew she was heavier in her younger years!! I thought this was ludicrous and never dreamed I'd get the reaction i got from her. (when I talk about her weight, i'm talking a few pounds by the way not stones). There were other friends in the pictures who roared with laughter at our antics of days gone by but I felt bullied into taking them off just to please her!!!

I can sort of understand his reaction and request. Just delete the ones of him on.

No as there are other pics of him years ago, he specifically said just ones of him and sis. I asked him if his girlfriend has said something. He said 'no I saw them and dont want them on there, I;ve got pics like that of different couples but wouldnt put them on FB. The past has gone and gone for a reason' I am just going to delete them less hassle but my sis hasnt been bothered.

some bu$$ers are always putting pictures of me up and i have to remove the tag. i am quite ugly. so i should get to choose which flattering pictures remain.

i think alot of people would rather not have their exes splashed all over their profile.

but thing is its not a pic of them snogging or even cuddling. Looking at pic you wouldnt even know they were going out, and all he has to do is untag himself

yes but the pictures of me are not rude or offensive, i just dont like how i look. i just want them gone.

I cringe at some of the old pictures that other people have put up of me! but I wouldn't tell them to delete them.

I have been tempted to untag myself in a few pics but have never actually done it.

I would object to any pictures of me being put on any site unless I put them there. It's an invasion of privacy and I think the girl has every right to ask you to remove them without you questionning it. However, if you are a site such as facebook I suppose you have to take the consequences.

course loftie :-) but yes thats whats facebooks about. And it was a bloke that asked me to and I am going to delete them as he wishes.

Tend to agree, I don't like people putting photos of me up on FB unless I've agreed it. The only person who gets carte blanche on this is my sister. It's not a vanity thing, I have photos of me on my FB, but I want to decide who gets to see them. My privacy settings are very high, other peoples are not and I don't want the world and his wife able to access my details.

That said, I'm almost pathological in my need for privacy.

Oh yer I have privacy settings on mine. Just my friends but wont let their friends see if they are tagged.
