MM and KM Links September 2009 [Week 3]

Good Evening AB Linkers, everywhere!

Welcome to this third week in the reign of Lady Jill (aka tearinghair), who has had much to contend with following a reconstituted AnswerBank! Not only did she accommodate this revised format, but my regular e-mail provider has been revamped and I am still learning exactly what has changed! Don’t computer buffs realise that there are some of us out here that don’t like too many changes

Tomorrow, I am expecting no hiccups whatsoever, when her introductory posting should open at the regular time of 08.45am and her four words to be linked declared at 09.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Please look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links, which kicks off at a slightly earlier hour. Both games rely on your ability to predict link words in advance and remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and recorded on master scoreboards. All newcomers are welcome to participate in either Game ~ or both Games!

I am crofter and as usual I take responsibility for organising and scoring the MM Links Games; and I pay tribute to my opposite number, Steff (aka seekeerz), all the way from the Land of Oz to score the KM Link Games. Steff started off September in fine form by taking first-round lead in MM Links! Unfortunately, the leaders from the first week were unable to build on their scores during the second week. As a result, several others were allowed to catch up. What will happen during Week 3 is anyone’s guess. It’s very much an open contest!

That's right, tearinghair, no pressure. No worrying as you press the send button for your hints and then the link words that they might not arrive!
No need to panic that the baying mob of linkers will be nasty and say horrid things about the lack of punctuality or, God forbid, you post too early!!!!

Alibobs has left her house to a pile of youngsters! Well her son, but that means a pile of youngsters! I know where she keeps her supplies...so if anyone is up for it, we can go and raid her place! I am happy to drive the double decker bus we use!
