Sending photos via Hotmail

I want to send some photos via my hotmail account. However, the maximum size is 10MB, and all the photos I have are 3.0 - 3.4MB, meaning that at best I can only send 3 per e-mail - and I have over 30!

Is there another way to send the photos in bulk?

Any assistance appreciated.

What exactly do you want the recipient to do with the image files? If they're only to be viewed on screen, they can be reduced down to around 100Kb to 200Kb each (i.e. between 0.1Mb and 0.2Mb each), without any significant loss of quality. If they're to be printed out at no larger than postcard size, similar file sizes are also adequate. Even for A4 prints there will hardly be any loss of quality in reducing the file sizes to around 500Kb (= 0.5Mb) each.

For information about reducing file sizes, see my post here:

Alternatively, put all of the images into a single zip file, upload it to a free file hosting website and then send a download link to the recipient, so that he/she can access the zip file. There are dozens of suitable file-hosting services. Sendspace is one of the most popular:

have you tried sending them directly from my pictures? You can highlight all pictures you need to send then down left hand side you will see (email selected items) just click there and it reduces your photos for sending and opens up your email already to send.
Why not upload them to a site like Flickr

The easiest way to reduce the pictures AND send them in one go is to (note XP and Vista are slightly different):

RIGHT click on the picture or pictures you want to send.

From the menu select Send To

From the next menu select Mail Recipient

At that point you are asked if you want to reduce the size (XP and Vista behave slightly differently)

Select to reduce the pictures, then you are taken straight into your mail program.

Type the email address and the pictures are sent.
