Mobile Phones
Just wondered what are the best and worst mobile phones around? I'm looking to buy one but i'm stumped by the brochures. The shop staff are only after commission too. Anyone know any sites that rate mobiles honestly/fairly?

If you just want to make/receive calls & texts the Nokia 3310 is reliable, easy to use and very cheap. But there are so many options possible - music, downloadable games, camera, video, inbuilt radio, bluetooth, do you want to use it in USA, etc etc etc etc.
There's a magazine on mobile phones that describes and rates them. Can't remember what its called, but I got one in WH Smith and it helped me decide on the one I wanted to get.
Or - ask your friends what they've got, what it does and what they think of it.
I agree with Gandy re Virgin Mobile. Good service. If you order online you can try the phone and if you don't like it you can return it. I did this, they sent an per paid envelop and my money was refunded within a week.
Generally, buying phones online or from adverets you see in the back of papers, come cheaper than high streets, but as people have said above, because most high street shops are working to commision, this can work in your favour as you can haggle andf play shops against each other for price and free accessories.
Also, I find it preferable to have a physical shop to purchase from, as it gives you a point to go back to if there are any problems or questions...
And yes, it does very much depend on which features you are after!
I personally have had a sony ericsson for my current and last phone and am very pleased with both phones.
