Do I have a virus?

My modem (BT Voyager) for my home pc connects fine, and I can use it for Kazaalite, but almost evrything else eg windows explorer, msn messenger, windows update etc cannot seem to find any connection to the internet. Very frustrating! Anyone know what is wrong, or have experenced a similar problem.

I finally gave up on Kazaa - my PC obviously had a problem, and I experienced net connection problems which disappeared when I uninstalled it.
