i'm having trouble burning from itunes lately.. i've been using itunes for years without hassle but lately whenever i go to burn the following message appears

"THE ATTEMPT TO BURN A DISC FAILED. THE DEVICE FAILED TO RESPOND PROPERLY, UNABLE TO RECOVER OR RETRY"
most of the songs on each playlist have been downloaded from lime wire but i dont think thats the problem cos i've lots of cds burned with lime wire downloads.

the cd's im using are sony. i havent used sony before... could this be the problem?

please help cos i'm going mad.
(as you may have noticed i'm not very technically skilled but if you need any more information from me about my problems just ask) CHEERS!

Have you tried reducing the burn speed when burning your discs?

In i-Tunes, select "Edit" from the top menus, then "Preferences". Then click the 'Burning' tab at the top of the dialogue box. In the 'Preferred Speed' box choose something low like 4x or 8x.

I've wasted hundreds of discs in the past by burnning at speeds my computer wasn't able to handle.

Hope this helps.
