Hi....I have rather a long internal connection from my phone socket to my PC and wondered if a wireless router would give me faster or slower download speeds on the Internet?

Any advice appreciated...thanks...commoner.

Probably no different

Your internet will be far slower than either a wired or a wireless connection so it's not that part of the link that is the limit on your speed.
