Blue Screen of Death...............again
Following my post last week about a BSOD with a 0x0000008E error, I reformatted my drive (windows XP on my Packard Bell PC). The system came back to life n after the best part of a day I had my drive virtually the same as before it went down. The next day it worked fine, n I redownloaded my itunes, antivirus software that I prf than the systems and my printer software. All was fab n I managed to produce a Powerpoint presenation I required.
This morning I faced the same problem. PC comes on, gets to the XP loading page and just keeps loading. The boot into safe mode came up with error 0x0000000A IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. After a bit of bottom lip wobble I pulled myself together. Can anyone PLEEEEASE point out what it may be. Have chkd my RAM n that seems to be fine. Cud it be the graphics card, fans, hard drive or something else? How can I find out without paying someone at least £50 to say what is wrong. I have very little money after getting out of debt and whilst I can probably stretch to buying pieces for the PC if required I cant fork out for someone else to say what I need. Catch 22 I know. Any help to point me the right way wud be appreciated. Tks
