I was wondering if anybody could recommend any earphones I could buy to replace the standard iPod ones.

sennheiser in-ear phones are generally recognised as being the best and retail for about �20.

I recommend the Panasonic RP-HV279 earphones you can get them from shops like Argos for �8.99 they have exellent sound quality and last ages.
It's a good idea to use different headphones, those white ones to a mugger are like a red flag to a bull!

For comfort and sound quality you will have to go a long way to beat a pair of Sony MDREX71.  They are, IMHO, unsurpassable.

They can be a tad pricey but if you want quality.................

I use Sennheiser PX200 headphones. They are absolutely brilliant. Sound is great, very comfortable and fold up into their own carry/storage case - wonderful.

The best small 'phones I have ever had.
