society are you around.???????????????????????? Can you help me please.!

Society I was wondering if you can help my husband as he has problems with his Zen.? He is trying to transfer music to the player. He has" rip to library" but it will not transfer. He has done it a few times and it still will not do it. Also he cannot tick "rip to player box".
Creative Centrale is what he is using not windows.
Would you be able to help please. Many thanks

Also had one of these for Christmas, love it. Has he got Windows Media Player 11 installed ? If not, visit Microsft's website and download this player - believe it's still available as a freebie. When that's done, plug the Zen into a USB port with WMP opened and the Zen should show up on the left hand side under Library. Click on "Sync" and drag the folder acrooss to the right to load it on to the Zen. Works pretty fast and is reliable. Hope this helps

many thanks FBG40, I have now downloaded the media 11 so hubby will have to try again and see if it works this time. silly thing is he managed to get on his zen two cd's, then tried to put something else on and it took the others off again.now it will not allow him to put it back on again as it says it is already on there.but it isnt. but when he plugged it onto the computor it played back ok but still does'nt show up on the player menu/listing/

fbg40 I have tried it myself and it still will not work. you do press sync at the bottom right hand side don't you.? all that happens is on the left hand side bottom it is listing. on the right it says disconnect your media player. which means it still isnt loading up on the zen. help! I am getting so fed up with hubby moaning it eill not work.!! haha

In answer to your second reply, yes there is a "sync" button on the RHS and this is what you press. When you have transferred the album, WMP says "it is now safe to remove the Zen", not an order !! Also.before you try anything else, click on the tab at the top, "SYNC", and it should show your player on the drop down menu. Go the right and it will say set up sync - try this.

hello again FBG ,Last night I tried it for him and this time I found the cd under artists. it is a cd with 30 ish different people on it. but it would not show up as an album.?

Hi - it's that man again !!
Has hubby "ripped" his CD's to the PC using WMP ? If he has, he probably needs to go into options and set WMP up - RIGHT click on a blank area where it says Library etc, go to Tools, Options and then rip music. This will ensure that everything is ripped to his specs and should make syncing to the Zen easier. HTH.

FBG..........oh my goodness what must you think of us.!! haha. I decided to get rid of everything on the computor and start again..uh...I downloaded the lastest upgrades..great now in colour whoop whoop!!. and everything has gone where it should be. But HOW I did it I do not know. I put on MP3 player recovery file on the computor. I am now gong to put on Windows media player 11 on again and see if I can get another cd on.. in the right place. many thanks to you. Know doubt I will be on here again.......shortly.! I will give you an update thats if you don't mind.?

Hi Lilacben, I apologise a million times for not answering you sooner. I've only now seen your post.

This is how I put music on my MP3 - I download the music to the C Drive then drag- and-drop it on the Creative. Or I drag-an-drop the music from a CD to the player. I must say though I store all the music on a memory card. I find it so much easier to edit, or add music. Then just pop the memory card in the player and it's very easy to play and control things. Hope this helps!

Just had a thought - to enable WMP to "see" an album that album must have a name/title i.e. if Hubby makes a compilation CD and wants it to be shown as an album, he must call it something e.g. Lilacben's Compilation - CD1.

FBG also many thanks to you again. My hubby is so pleased it is now in colour and everything has gone where it should have, maybe the problem was it needed updating. which I have now done. No new cd's gone on since..........fingers crossed it will be fine when he tries to upload again. we shall see. Happy New Year to you both.! xx
