Is it better to buy a desktop with wireless connection capability already installed on it or does it not really matter. I understand that you can use a usb port to install a wireless toggle to connect to the router. I have the new Bt Homehub with has "N" power so I would be interested in getting my new computer with this connec tion available. Is the connection not so good if it is not preinstalled?

Thanks

Very few, if any, desktop PCs come with wi fi pre-installed.

A wi fi card can easily be fitted inside the case, or an external USB stick plugged in.

don't use wireless on desktop computers unless there really is no other way of connecting to the router.

The one single benefit of wireless is it means the computer is portable while still being connected, as your probably not going to be walking round the house with a desktop computer there is no point in using wireless, a wired connection to he router is better in every other way.
